Infertility testing is a process where we test the husband and the wife to try to determine why they're having difficulty achieving pregnancy. For the woman we will check her egg status, what's called ovarian reserve through simple blood tests and ultrasounds. That way we can determine, is the woman approaching menopause and how aggressive do we need to be to treat her. We will also do simple ultrasounds or X-rays, to evaluate her uterus and her tubes to make sure there's not a structural problem, a reason that we can treat with simple procedures to increase her pregnancy rate. For the gentleman simple semen analysis that will tell us if there's any fertility issue with the male that can be treated. And once we can evaluate the couple, we can let them know their treatment options. For most couples they will have more than one treatment option; a less aggressive and a more aggressive; then the couples can make the decision how aggressive do they want to go. After three or four months of treatment we're usually able to achieve pregnancy. The infertility testing itself usually only takes one month or less. A simple process without a lot of visits, and then the couple can decide where they want to go from there once they know what the problem is.
